Apple’s iPhone 7, 7 Plus RED Special Edition Finally Available For Pre-order in India

Hi, Friends welcome to the Mirchitech blog. Today I want to share something special with you, and it is Apple’s RED iPhone 7, 7 Plus Special Edition finally available for Pre-order in India. Apple’s latest iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition smartphones are now up for pre-orders in India.

The Cupertino giant announced these two iPhones last month in partnership with (RED) and profits from these devices are meant for a social cause. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT) RED Special Editions will start shipping from Amazon from April 1, but Infibeam orders are listed to ship from April 15.

These Special Edition iPhones are a part of fundraising for AIDS research. Apple has frequently released this Special Edition (RED) products in partnership with (RED) from last 10 years. The part of sales from this Apple (PRODUCT) RED range goes to the Global Fund HIV/AIDS grants.

RED Special Edition

“Since we began working with (RED) 10 years ago, our customers have made a significant impact in fighting the spread of AIDS through the purchase of our products, from the original iPod nano (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition all the way to today’s lineup of Beats products and accessories for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch,” said Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook during the announcement of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus (PRODUCT) RED Special Editions.

iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus RED Special Edition Specifications

It is worth noting that while the iPhone 7 RED Special Edition features a single 12MP rear camera, the larger screen variant comes with two 12MP rear cameras with 2x optical zooming capability up to 56mm. Both sport a 7MP FaceTime camera for selfies and video chats.

The two iPhone 7 handsets are powered by the new quad-core Apple A10 Fusion processor with 64-bit four cores CPU. The processor has two high-performance cores and two high-efficiency cores for a longer battery life. It also has a new 6-core GPU which is 50% faster than the Apple A9 processor.

Getting rid of the 3.5-millimeter headphone jack has helped Apple make its new iPhones slimmer and boost its battery lifetime. iPhone 7 RED Special Edition also weighs slightly less than iPhone 6, while iPhone 6 weighs 143 gm, it is 138 gm for iPhone 7.

Both iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus now have stereo speakers onboard. While there’s one at the top, the others at bottom of the device. Apple claims that this improves the quality of the sound produced as well as boosts its dynamic range.

iPhone 7 Plus RED Special Edition boasts of IP67 ration, which makes them water and dust-resistant. This means the phones can be immersed in water up to 1m depth. A popular feature, waterproofing has been there in rival Samsung’s flagship devices for some time now.

The company is bidding goodbye to 16GB as base storage. The new iPhones will come in three variants — 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB. Here 256GB is the new addition, and as always there is no expandable storage.

iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus Features

Yes, Apple has ditched 3.5 mm headphone jack (as widely rumored). The company has replaced it with the Lightning port-based connectors. These plug into the phone’s charging port. The company has also bundled an adapter with new iPhones so that older earphones can still be used.

According to Apple, the analogue headphone jack has been removed for two main reasons; one Lightning is a better connector for audio, two it helps free up space for other components.

For the first time ever, since Apple launched iPhones the company has redesigned its Home button. The new home button is now touched sensitive and uses a new Topic engine for better response.

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus will come in five colors, including the two new colors Black and Jet Black. The other three colors are Silver, Gold and Rose Gold. Apple is discontinuing its space colored option.

The company has reportedly used robots to spin the aluminum bodies through sand to make it insanely shiny.

Apple claims the Retina HD displays in its iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 plus RED Special Edition is 25% brighter than the screens on last year’s iPhones. They are also supposed to support much wider gamut of colors.

Apple claims that its new iPhones offer ‘longest-ever battery’. According to the company, iPhone 7 will give at least 2 more hours of battery as compared to iPhone 6s, while the bigger iPhone 7 Plus will offer at least 1 hour more of battery life vis-a-vis 6s Plus.
