Hey there welcome to the mirchitech and here I want to share something different. So today I will explain the topic of Asus ZenPad 3 8.0 Many tablets are an entertainment device and to many it is a work station. The Asus ZenPad 3 8.0 Z581KL 32GB tablet features a 7.9 inches (20.07 cm, 2K 2048 x 1536 resolution) touch screen for your daily needs and runs Android v6.0 (Marshmallow) operating system to quickly open apps and games. The device is powered by a Hexa Core (1.8 GHz, Dual core, Cortex A72 + 1.2 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A53) processor paired with 4 GB GB of RAM to further enhance the user’s experience. It also has a 4680 mAh battery. Its fashion-inspired design with a brushed metallic finish and detailed concentric-circle button provides a sublime level of elegance and beauty. Coupled with the all-new ZenUI 3.0 interface with added intelligence, ZenPad 3 8.0 delivers an incredible tablet experience like no other.
Asus ZenPad 3 8.0 Z581KL Cinematic entertainment with 2K IPS display
1. Design
The ASUS ZenPad 3 8.0 has a brushed metallic finish and a finely-detailed concentric-circle button that reflects a balance of beauty and strength. Its surface is made of a hyper-fine sanding process that gives it a smooth anodized finish. It flaunts a 7.9-inch IPS LCD display with 2K resolution. It features wide 178-degree viewing angles and exclusive ASUS Visual Master and ASUS Tru2Life+ technologies for a cinematic experience. It has a weight of 320 grams and a thickness of 7.9mm.
The Asus ZenPad 3 8.0 is a very minimalistic device. It isn’t eye-catching at all, unlike the ZenFone 3 or the ZenBook 3. The glossy screen on the front is built to be scratch-resistant and the rear of the ZenPad 3 8.0 appears to be made of faux leather, which I loved since it doesn’t slip easily when you place it on a smooth surface.
Built with a dimension of 136.4 x 205.4 x 7.57 mm, the ZenPad 3 8.0 is slightly more squares rather than rectangular-ish. It’s really thin at 7.57mm, making it as thin as most smart phones (the iPhone 7 is 7.1mm thick). Carrying it single-handedly with 2-fingers is effortless; but obviously, don’t try to navigate it with one hand. It’s portability at 320g is also astonishingly light, which made using it a real joy. For someone who’s armed with the lightest phones and ultrabooks, I place a huge emphasis on the portability factor and the ZenPad 3 8.0 hit a gold star here in my books.
2. Display
Asus ZenPad 3 8.0 delivers mobile entertainment like you has never experienced. Its incredible 6 inch 2K (2048 x 1536 resolution) IPS display Features wide 178 degree viewing angles and exclusive Asus Visual Master and Asus Tru2life + technologies for a cinematic experience. Asus is seriously trying to make a dent in the tablet market and has come out with yet another premium offering, this one with a hefty 2K display.
The new tablet is called the ZenPad 3 8.0, and is basically a smaller version of the ZenPad 3S 10. It also acts as an alternative to the ZenPad Z8, which is only available to Verizon customers and has many of the same specs.
3. Hardware
The 7.9″ screen is lit up with LED technology and has a resolution higher than full-HD. alongside the Splendid app that adjust the colors for the ZenPad 3 8.0, the tablet has a crystal clear display that’s nice to watch your favorite Netflix shows on.
It’s also armed with a microSIM slot and a microSD card slot so it’s possible to use it with a SIM card for data on the go.
The processor and RAM on the tablet are also fairly good. It has a Snapdragon 650 processor and a 4GB RAM, which should be plenty for multitasking and launching even fairly intensive applications. It won’t be a Snapdragon 820 flagship level experience, but lags shouldn’t appear too often. AnTuTu benchmark tests confirm this, giving it a rating of 71,806, which is what you would expect from a midrange Smartphone and it’s already pretty awesome for an Android tablet.
4. Camera
The ZenPad 3 8.0 has a rear 8.0MP camera, which is actually quite decent for a tablet. The shots with the camera are nowhere close to a midrange Smartphone’s camera, but it does shoot decent photos. In low light conditions, the camera pales as color replication gets a little faded, but I don’t see a tablet being used as a camera, so this isn’t an issue. The front camera isn’t really good, but if you intend to use it for just video calls, it should sufficient.
5. Current Availability
With the 4G LTE capability of the ZenPad 3 8.0 it is likely to not make the US or Canada markets. It has started to become available in the European markets with some limited availability is a few Asian markets. Why not in the US? It’s likely because of the ZenPad Z8 which is a Verizon exclusive. With the Z8 being so similar it’s doubtful that Asus would offer virtually the same tablet outside of the Verizon agreement. It’s likely not even allowable for them to do so.
6. Price
If you are from India, the launch price for the ZenPad 3 8.0 with 2GB RAM is Rs.17, 990 Expected. There is also a model with 4GB of RAM at a more expensive price point that can be found in Asian markets. The ZenPad 3 8.0 (Z581KL) is currently a limited release so price details are not widely available. Updating as more information becomes available.
7. Key Features
Although it may be a bit buried in the specs sheet, the ZenPad 3 8.0 (Z581KL) does have the ability to make phone calls. Call this an added bonus! It does give this tablet more flexibility than most any other 8-inch tablet and taking a phone call on speaker phone or via headset, it’s a value added feature.
8. Weight
The Zenpad 3 is 320 grams but feels really slim and lightweight. It is actually smaller and thinner than an A5 paper notebook. Instead of using my Smartphone or carrying a heavy ultra book, I compose my blogs on the ZenPad 3 using a Bluetooth mini keyboard.
Asus ZenPad 3 Review
The new ASUS ZenPad 3 looks like a normal Android tablet but it is filled with top-spec hardware at a mid-range price. Check this out: it supports voice calls, 300 Mbps LTE mobile data, 2048 x 1536 2K IPS display, dual band Wi-Fi 2.4GHz and 5GHz for fast wireless network, runs on 6-core 1.8GHz Qualcomm S650 with 4GB RAM and Adreno 510 GPU. It has built-in 32GB storage with micro SD slot to expand to 128GB, and battery capacity of 4680 mAh.
ASUS has thrown in plenty of tech to make the ZenPad 3 a compelling tablet for multimedia and gaming enjoyment. VisualMaster, Tru2Life+, TruVivid, intelligent contrast, sharpness optimization, DTS Headphone:X are some of the jargon. The front-facing stereo speakers certainly make the sounds appear more stereo and direct. The audio processor supports Hi-Res audio formats, making the ZenPad 3 a worthy tablet for audio lovers. Tech specs aside, here are some reasons why I enjoy using the ZenPad 3 for the past weeks.
