Hi, Friends welcome to the Mirchitech blog and I am jimmy. Today I want to share something special with you, and it is Best Unlimited Data Plan: Jio vs BSNL vs Airtel vs Vodafone vs Idea vs MTNL, The unlimited 4G data war is on and how. When Jio came to existence, everybody thought it would be just another Reliance product, or may be the same Reliance network that is rare to find. But what took the industry by storm is their decent network coverage and free offers.

The unlimited 4G data offer from Jio triggered the price-war between the telecom majors. When Jio decided to go paid and offered unlimited of everything at Rs. 303, a price point where users were getting about 1 or 1.5GB 4G data, all other major competitors had to step up the game.

Data Plan

There is no doubt that Airtel and Vodafone presence in rural and urban areas is way better than the Jio, but what Jio has been up to is that it is installing more towers across India. The company says that it has major cities covered in India with over 100,000 mobile towers deployed already, and it will add another 100,000 towers in ‘coming months’.

Here’s what Mukesh Ambani’s press statement noted: “Jio has created the world’s largest greenfield 4G LTE wireless broadband network, with over 100,000 mobile towers. And we will add another 100,000 towers to our network in the coming months. This greenfield investment of over Rs 200,000 crores is the largest anywhere in the world.”

Keeping everything aside, we have tried to compare different 4G data plans for prepaid consumers in this article and here’s what we think is the best data plan among all.

Best Unlimited Data Plan all Mobile Network

1. MTNL Rs. 319 (Best Data Plan)

MTNL offered this Rs. 319 plan for prepaid customers after BSNL’s Rs. 339. Both plans offer the same 2GB of data per day for 28 days, however, the internet speed will be 3G which ranges from 3.6Mbps to 14.4Mbps.

MTNL Rs. 319 Plan details:

Validity – 28 days

56GB 3G data (2GB every day)

2. BSNL Rs. 339

Last month BSNL launched a special tariff voucher plan priced at Rs. 339 for mobile customers in which they will get 2GB of 3G data per day for 28 days. The internet speed on 3G is not that bad either and it ranges from 3.6Mbps to 14.4Mbps.

BSNL Rs. 339 Plan details:

Validity – 28 days

56GB 3G data (2GB every day)

3. Jio Prime: Rs. 99 + Rs. 303

One misconception that everyone has about Jio is that you are getting free 4G data (1GB per day) with Rs. 303 recharge, which is not the case actually. Users have no option but to pay Rs. 99 up front first to get that offer. But if you do not pay Rs. 99 then the free 4G unlimited data doesn’t apply.

Plan details:

After Rs. 99 recharge and another Rs. 303 recharge

Validity – 28 days

28GB 4G data (1GB every day)

4. Vodafone and Idea Plans

After the merger, Vodafone and Idea have the biggest customer base in India (about 265.85 million). Both companies have offered attractive plans to match up Jio’s offer.

Vodafone Rs. 346 Plan details:

Validity – 28 days

28GB 4G data (1GB every day)

The idea recently launched new Rs. 348 Plan after Jio’s Summer Surprise announcement. Their offer is just like the Vodafone, which is 1GB 4G data every day.

Idea Rs. 348 Plan details:

Validity – 28 days

28GB 4G data (1GB every day)

5. Airtel Rs. 345

Airtel may be first to jump in data competition with Jio, but it is not even close to any of the competition offering. The telecom operator is technically offering only 500MB data per day and not 1GB.

Airtel Rs. 345 Plan details:

Validity – 28 days

28GB 4G data (500MB in day time + 500MB in night 3 am to 5 am)

Important Note: At the time of writing this article the above-mentioned plan details were cross-verified with the telecom operators, but given the nature of competition these may or may not change in future.
