Honor has announced the successor to Honor 8 today in Europe dubbed the Honor 8 Pro. The smartphone was first launched in China as V9, and it highlights the same dual rear camera setup from Honor 8 but in an all-metal unibody design. Honor 8 highlight was the 12-megapixel Sony IMX286 dual-camera setup and the same camera has come to Honor 8 Pro. Out of these two rear cameras, one captures images in RGB color while the other captures monochrome. The front camera is an 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.0
Honor 8 Pro Specification
The Honor 8 Pro (a.k.a Honor V9 in China) runs latest Android 7.0 Nougat with Emotion UI 5.1. It features a 5.7-inch Quad-HD (1440×2560 pixels) 2.5D glass display. Inside the handset, Honor packs its own octa-core chipset Kirin 960 coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It also features microSD expansion but with a hybrid dual-SIM slot (nano SIM + nano SIM / microSD).
Just like the Honor 8, the Pro version also has a fingerprint sensor at the back and an infrared sensor at the top.
The metal-unbody Honor 8 Pro measures 157 x 77.50 x 6.97mm and weighs 184grams. Along with standard connectivity options, the handset also gets NFC and USB Type-C. The 4000mAh battery supports fast charging as well.

The Honor 8 Pro will hit European markets on April 20th, but won’t be launching in the United States. The handset is already up for pre-order on Honor’s vMall.eu and will start shipping from April 20. The company will also be made it available on Amazon on the same day. The pre-order price is 549 Euros which roughly translates Rs. 38,000 in India.
While Honor only has plans to sell the Honor 8 Pro across Europe for now, we also believe that the phone will also make it to India real soon.
