The K6 Power is Lenovo’s affordable Smartphone that comes with a host of feature, the primary USP of the Smartphone. The phone also offers Dolby sound for enhanced audio experience and theater Max features for virtual reality.
Lenovo K6 Power Features:
Lenovo K6 Power Design & build
If we take a closer look on the K6 Power, the design language is reminiscent of Xiaomi’s Redmi 3S Prime. The Lenovo K6 Power has a simple and neat look in terms of design. The rear side of the device features the camera and a finger print sensor. The Phone as Lenovo claims sports a metal unique body, but if you touch the device you will get a feel of polished plastic rather than premium metal alloy. The Lenovo K6 Power has soft rounded edges with antenna lines running neatly on the top and bottom of the rear side giving the presence of metal alloy at least to some part of the device.
The primary camera has LED flash and fingerprint sensor embedded next to it. The Lenovo K6 Power features capacitive instead of backlit buttons and it took us time to adapt to the device usually while operating in the dark at night. Talking about ergonomics, the buttons are placed so as to be comfortable enough to operate with one hand. RATTING: 6.5/10
Lenovo K6 Power Primary Camera
The Lenovo K6 Power camera is capable of capturing really good images in good light. In our regular camera testing, the photo taken in the daylight retained detail and the colour reproduction was good as well. Overall the camera could deliver good images. It retained good detail with a little bit of distortion on the edge. We observed a fair bit of smudginess on the corners when the images were opened in a large LCD display.
The Primary camera is 13 megapixel phase detection auto focus and LED flash. The primary camera is equipped with Sony’s IMX258 sensor. The camera records video in 1080p at 30fps and includes Panorama, Slow Motion and Fast Motion option. The shutter speed, focus, ISO and white balance manually. RATTING: 6.7/10
Lenovo K6 Power Secondary Camera
The feature brightens up the screen while taking low light selfies as a means of simulating flash. When we put the feature on test it didn’t really do much to improve the photo. The image was not clear rather it appeared to be grainy when shot in low light. If you are a selfie lover we suggest to take a photo when there’s sufficient light and avoid capturing shots under extreme low light condition.
The front camera features an 8 megapixel fixed focus sensor. It has Ultra HD photo quality, snap mode that feature the timer, single tap click and hand sign gesture. The camera comes with the beautification mode along with a slider to tweak and add skin tonight to the photo. RATTING: 5.6/10
Lenovo K6 Power Software & UI
The Lenovo K6 has an interesting feature called the Dual App profile where you can set up two account of a specified app such as WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram. The fingerprint sensor on the device is accurate but requires your finger to be oil free to unlock the phone quickly. The phone comes with wide touch feature that acts as a popup screen and provides on screen shortcuts to Music, Contact, Camera etc. It also gives you the option to add other apps as per your need.
The phone offers a bundle of impressive custom feature, rare for a device in the budget price segment , Lenovo K6 Power doesn’t have a default Gallery app which means the user have to access the File Manager to scroll and search for the photo, Besides, the app lock functionality is not consistent. The device also freezes randomly while we were trying to receive call. We could only receive it by force pressing the power button and unlocking the device. RATTING: 7.2/10
Lenovo K6 Power Battery Life
The Lenovo K6 Power packs a massive 4000mAh battery. The battery being the USB of the device gives decent back up under moderate usage. It gives more than 12 hours of back up with some juice left to wind up your tasks till midnight. In the video loop test with the Wi-Fi connected and the screen brightness increased up to 100 per cent, the phone lasted more than 10 hours.
During everyday usage, with extensive gaming, texting, use of social media, video streaming and browsing through forums, the phone lasted almost 8 hours of usage time. If you are a heavy user we suggest to charges the battery once before signing off to bed at night.
