Hi, Friends welcome to the Mirchitech blog. Today I want to share something special with you, and it is OnePlus 5 image leak: dual camera setup at the back. OnePlus next ‘flagship killer’ OnePlus 5 is already under many talks over the past few months and now a leaked render has surfaced online revealing the design of the phone. The purported image of the new flagship OnePlus 5 has been posted by India today that unveils the device featuring a vertical dual rear camera setup.
The image of the phone, which India Today Tech has sourced from people who have seen the phone and have possibly worked on the OnePlus 5, also shows that the phone may retain the design that consumers first saw in the OnePlus 3T.
This means the OnePlus 5 too will have the similar metal frame made of brushed aluminum and will possibly have the similar rounded edges. Also considering the fact that the phone doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner on the back means it will have that sensor under the screen on the front.
But there is one major change: the OnePlus 5 does have the same antenna lines that are there on the OnePlus 3T. Instead, its rear cover looks seamless. If this seamless back cover is indeed part of the final design of the phone, chances are that the OnePlus 5 will look pretty stunning, although it may also lose some of its “edginess” and “industrial looks” that the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T sport. The OnePlus 5 is also expected to come in gray, gold and black colors.
After the blockbuster success of the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T, the upcoming OnePlus 5 is an important phone for the company. With the OnePlus 5, this mobile needs to show that its success in 2016 was no flash in a pan and that it can sustain the momentum.
Along with the dual camera, it is also almost certain that OnePlus 5 will come with Oxygen OS based on Android Nougat. Already, the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T use Android Nougat as the base for their software.
According to our sources, one important thing to note about this OnePlus 5 image is that the design is not final yet. Some aspects of the design may change as OnePlus tweaks the phone ahead of its possible launch in June.
OnePlus 5 Features
As seen on the purported image, the power button is located on the with the volume rockers on the left side, just like the previous models. The render only reveals the back side of the alleged OnePlus 5 and gives no clue on which sort of charging port the device will use, whether it will have the 3.5mm audio jack (as most flagship are ditching the audio port).
Rumour mill previously churned out leaks citing that the next flagship will sport dual-curved edge display. The OnePlus 5 is tipped to feature a 5.5-inch 2K (1080×2048 pixels) display and RAM will be beefed up to 8GB. The phone is said to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor paired with Adreno 540 GPU.
The phone might run Android Nougat out-of-the-box. Rumors also suggest that OnePlus might ditch metal and opt for a ceramic build for the next flagship.

As for the camera, the new leaked render refutes the earlier leak reports that suggest the phone sport a 23-megapixel rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), and a 16-megapixel selfie camera. With all said and done, this is just rumors which should be taken with a pinch of salt as OnePlus has not shared any official word yet.
OnePlus 5 India price
On the pricing part too there is no clarity yet. But just like other OnePlus phones, the OnePlus 5 too will be aggressive price compare to other flagship phones like the Galaxy S8. For example, despite its good hardware and features the OnePlus costs Rs 29,999, making it the best value for money phone in India.
But irrespective of the price, it is also fairly safe to assume that OnePlus 5 could be the phone of the year, similar to how the OnePlus 3 was for most consumers in 2016.
This year again, the possibility is that the phone might beat others in the market by matching or surpassing the likes of the Galaxy S8, iPhone 8 and HTC U11 and yet costing significantly less.
Although the price is one area where OnePlus 5 will have to slug it out with the Xiaomi Mi 6, in case Xiaomi brings that phone to India.
Last year OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei had told India Today Tech that irrespective of the price, the company wants to give its consumers the best phone.
