Paytm is an Indian payment and commerce company based out of Delhi NCR, India. Launched in August 2010, it is the consumer brand of parent One97 Communications. The name is an acronym for “Pay Through Mobile.”Looks like Samsung is taking a page out of Xiaomi and Oneplus’s books by launching the Samsung J3 Pro as a Paytm exclusive. International Data Corporation reports that the J series by Samsung is the largest selling smartphone range in the Indian market.
So limiting the J3 Pro’s availability to just one sale channel might actually work out in PayTM and Samsung’s favor, as long as they have enough inventory to meet demands. A Snapdragon 430 quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM power Samsung Galaxy S3 Pro. It has a 5-inch SuperAMOLED display with a 1280×720 resolution.
Samsung J3 Pro Specification
Running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the smartphone comes with other features such as a fingerprint scanner that is embedded on the home button at the front. This puts its pixel density at a decent 294-pixel par inch. The phone comes with just 16GB on on-board storage, but it can be expanded to 128GB via microSD card. An 8MP camera on the back and a 5-megapixel front facing camera perform the imaging duties. The Samsung J3 Pro will retail for a price of Rs. 8,490 and will be available in gold, black and white color options.
This is the first time Samsung is launching an online exclusive product, Galaxy J3 Pro, on Paytm Mall. Galaxy J3 Pro delivers powerful performance, outstanding display and packs in consumer-centric features developed at our R&D centers in India, Sandeep Singh Arora, Vice President, Online Business, Samsung India, said in a released statement.
The Samsung J3 Pro will be a PayTM exclusive, although there is no telling if that will continue to be the case in the future. Additionally, would this be setting a precedent in the Samsung camp, to make certain phones exclusive to a particular e-retailer? Regardless of the future, for now, the Samsung J3 Pro can purchase exclusively from PayTM starting April 6.
